New Kingdom

How does one go about setting up a new kingdom in an area no where near an existing land?

Its pretty simple to get a group started.
1-Find a Park to practice at.
2-Set a Date for your fighter practices and craft nights.
3-Get a rule book. (you can find a copy to download here)
4-Find a name.
5-Recruit people. Meet up. Have Fun.
6-Go to as many other kingdom's events as possible.

Then once you get a regular group of people out then you can start planning events for your own kingdom.


I think that's about it.

Is there any sort of combined realms wide corpora or by laws?

No, the corpora is different from kingdom to kingdom. I can get you a sample corpora if you need one. Where, may I ask, are you wanting to start up the group? Just curious.

Lubbock Texas, A sample corpora would be good to have, give us a place to start from.

Hello All , I have recently taken an intrest in the arena of High Fantasy Society and believe it to be just the thing for me and my daughter. I would like to know when and where these kingdoms meet and if we can just show up to play. Also , could we start our own knigdom and if so how? Where do we find the attire and weapons commonly used. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What city do you live in? Once we know that, we can point you to the proper people. I know that most kingdoms, everyone is more than welcome to just show up, get a feel for things, and then go from there

I live in Belton which is about ten miles from Temple. About 33 miles from Waco and 60 miles from Austin. We are right on I-35 and making a drive would not be out of the question but was hoping to find something close to home.

Havenswatch would be the closest kingdom to you then.

Havenswatch is most likely the closest to you and they are actually having a coronation event this Sunday @ Lions Park in Temple. They are a great group and always welcome newcomers. They can tell you how to get weapons made and where to find attire as well.

Is a kingdom allowed to alter the rulebook for use in their realm and still be considered part of the HFS?

Every kingdom is autonomous. It is suggested that you use the latest CRW rulebook as a basis, because it makes visiting other kingdoms and events much easier, however you can change the rulebook to suit your own needs. We do not have any central ruling body, every kingdom is responsible for its own rules and bylaws
